How 2011 Treated Me

Let’s travel back 12 months and see what significant events I went through the past 12 months.

January:

Well it’s a birthday month for me. I kind of enjoyed my birthday although I was still in depression. The special part was I got two cakes from mum and also dad. Thnx Amma and Appa. It was this lucky month that I decided to continue my degree with Bhaeravii. I was comparing some universities and ended up choosing MSU.

February:

It’s a wedding month in my family. I was quite busy preparing for my cousin brother’s wedding. It was a totally awesome event as I enjoyed myself with my cousins there. I cant remember any other significant event in this month.

March:

It was just an ordinary month. Nothing special. I postponed my enrolment in MSU to May (originally it should be March). And this was the month I had to stand firm on my decision to continue my studies and persuaded my dad to accept my decision. I also helped my school to do a booklet for its 50th anniversary.

April:

Well its was a preparation month. Both my sister and I were to head to KL the next month to continue our studies. Mum was helping both of us to prepare as much as we can. Dad was busy arranging the transport and financial issues for us. I was busy looking for a house in Shah Alam.

May:

May was a hectic month. I did tonnes of packing. I was travelling here and there. Had a difficult time looking for a proper accommodation in Shah Alam. All settled, I went for my orientation week and bridging class sessions. That was when I met my two soulmates for BBM. Hahahaha. And also I ‘ponteng’ed the two weeks bridging class and was having a nice soothing holiday back in Penang.

June:

Study month. Yea but I think I did all things except for studying. I mean I attended classes but I wasn’t in the studying mode yet. It was a good month. Got to know my friends better. Had some hung out session with my buddies.

July:

Shall name it as study month two. Yet I did not do any studying. I was still busy getting to know new people and was busy ‘lepak’ing. It was an average month. My parents came down to Shah Alam and fetch me and went to Wangsa Maju to fetch my sister, we whole family went to Ipoh for my cousin’s 21st birthday celebration. It was a good family gathering.

August:

Truly an enjoyable month for me. Sat for the 1st mid-term in MSU. I was quite satisfied with my results. Then had a major outing with my darlings to Midvalley. We also organized a surprise party for Sendrew. It turned out as a success with everyone’s help. We also celebrated Nandni’s surprise birthday in Chillis. Other than that, I had a week break for Raya, and I spent the week shopping for Deepavali with my mum. Hehehehe.

September:

A sedate month maybe. Jess, Shirley and I went to LCCT for Starbucks. Hahahaha. Actually we went there to send off Sendrew to India. The travelling to LCCT was a terrifying experience. We also had our very first Tanni Party. Awesome party it was. Totally enjoyed myself with my friends.

October:

Finals month. Had my finals for two long weeks. Guess this was the real study month for me. I revised and did my best. Then went back home for Deepavali. I did a small business, selling homemade cookies. I earned some money. Just enough for me to get a new handphone and some new clothes.

November:

Awesome month. I enjoyed my semester break. Attended cousin brother’s wedding in KL and also cousin sister’s engagement in Ipoh. Enrolled in new semester. I was kind of disappointed withmy first semester results. Hopefully I can get better results in the semester. We also celebrated Jessica’s birthday in a simple way due to some unexpected incident that occurred to me. Other than that, my family send off mum for a month India trip.

December:

Actually I have no words to describe this month because it was such an awful month. I had many unwanted problems from unwanted people. I learnt a very useful lesson in life in a hard way. But despite it I would love to thank Jessica, Shirley and Nandni for being there for me when I needed them. Guess its right to say they are my soulmates. And now I am ending the month cum the year with awesome company; MY FAMILY!

I don’t know if I had more downs than ups or more ups than downs. Overall it was a productive year for me. Also I had a very good chance of getting to know who really cared for me. It was a great year all together. I just hope 2012 will be a better year than 2011.

Some of the best photos of 2011. I only started taking photos after I joined MSU, so I cant find any photos before June. Hehehehe....

And here I am ending this post and year for a new beginning!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!

Mug Cakes

I was blog walking yesterday and stumbled upon a post in a blog about mug cakes. It captured my interest. Since I was too bored, so I planned to try the recipe out.

The initial recipe that I got hold of was of Chocolate Mug Cake and it required egg, and since my mum is not at home, my fridge is practically EMPTY. I had to ask my dad to buy egg for me. So while waiting for my dad I decided to try Vanilla Mug Cake.

I got the recipe from a website. What you need is:

Coffee Mug
Microwave
Flour - 6 Tbs
Sugar - 2 Tbs
Baking Powder - 1/2 Tsp
Salt - 1/8 Tsp
Milk - 4 Tbs
Oil - 1 Tbs
Vanilla Essence - 1/2 Tsp

The methods:
First mix all the dry ingredients in the mug.
Then add the other ingredients and mix them well with a fork.

This is how it looks like after mixing all the ingredients.

Next, put the mug into the microwave oven for 3 minutes.
Its optional to add a topping. For mine, I added broken chocolate bars on top of the cake right after I took it out from the microwave.

The broken chocolate bars.

After adding the chocolate.

Wait for a few minutes after adding the chocolate. Then spread the chocolate on top of the cake and let it cool down. Now its ready to eat.

This was the end result.

Okay, it looks tasty right. It was tasty but some improvements can still be done. I realised, in this recipe, the flour amount is too much. Next time I should reduce the amount of the flour. And I should also add a bit more sugar.

And after eating this cake, I was kind of lazy to do the chocolate version. So I decided I will do it some other time.

Anyway you guys can try it out and let me know how it tastes.
Good Luck! =)

Say Hi Sem 2

Well its been quite some time since I last updated my blog. Its not that I dont have the time, its just that I am too lazy to type. Hahahahaha.....

Well so nothing much happened. I joined new semester. My first semester results did not hit my target, I am dissapointed with myself, but determined to achieve my target this semester. Hopefully I can.

Day 1 of Sem 2

Shirley and me have started our business venture this semester. We are offering Nail Art Service at a cheap rate. So if your are in need of nail art, dont hesitate to contact us.

The day we started our business venture.
Hahahahahahaha

We (Shirley, Nandni and me) planned to celebrate a simple birthday party for Jessica, but some unexpected incident occurred to me and we had to cancel the whole thing. But we managed to get her a card, gift and a piece of cake. Hehehehehehe..... Hmmm sorry Jessica, we will make it up to you. But I think Jess still enjoyed her day with us. Hahahahahahaha......

Top: Jess with her Birthday gift and card.
Bottom: Jess with her Secret Recipe cake.

My mum is in India for a month visit. She is enjoying herself there and I am happy for her. But we, Dad, Bro, Sis, Vishal and me miss her a lot. Its been a while she did not go for any long vacation, so we kind of forgot how it feels when is she not around. Anyway this opportunity makes me realise how gifted I am to have my mum in my life. I really miss her a lot. Cant wait for her to back.

Well another significant thing was, I think I had my first fight, well not really a fight, but kind of fight, (hahahahahahaha) with someone I love. Now it all seems so funny, but at the time I was really sad. But now we have clarified everything and all is settled between us. Just want to let you know, I LOVE YOU and I AM SORRY (I hope you know who you are).

I have also visited a new place, I-City. Well it was not really an interesting place for me, but I had fun with my friends there. We snapped lots of photos, which can be viewed in my Facebook profile.

Love you guys.....

This semester we seemed to snapping lots of photo. Maybe because I got a new phone. Hahahahaha, so action. And we will be snapping more photos because another one of us is going to get a new phone too. So more photos to come. We have also been lepaking a lot lately. And my dear friends are stealing Subway coupons for free burger whenever they get hold of a newspaper. And so we are like eating Subway every week (thats how I had my first Subway). Hahahahahahaha.....

See, like what I say,
we are snapping tonnes of photos
and
we are loitering aroud Shah Alam.
Hahahahahahahahaha....

And I am sad for my darlings cause this semester they have to endure Dr.'s class. It looks like they are facing a difficult time. Be strong dears. I will always support you guys. Soon I will be with you guys facing the same thing, so no worries. Hahahahahahaha..... Now I am laughing, next year June to October, I knowI will be crying..... :'(

Well so this is the summary of my last few weeks. Got to learn how to write summary, will be helpful for my English class. Hahahahahaha......

Handphone Dilemma

I am planning to get a new handphone this week. I still dont know which model to buy. Originally thought of buying Sony Ericsson Xperia X10, but that model is no more being produced.

I am going to pay half and my dad is going to pay half. Last time when my dad and mum got a new handphone for me, I promised myself that it will be the last handphone I am going to buy with my parents money. I wish I can pay the whole amount but unfortunately I cant afford, so my dad has volunteered, well not really, I demanded that my dad pay the other half and he agreed. Hahahahahaha... =D

So now I have two phones in my mind. Xperia Neo V and Xperia Mini Pro.

This is Xperia Neo V
And this is Xperia Mini Pro

I like both phones, but I would really love to own a sideway slide phone. But Xperia Mini Pro comes with only 2GB microSD memory card, where as Xperia Neo V comes with 8GB. So now I am planning to take Xperia Mini Pro and upgrade the memory card to 8GB and if the price is less than Xperia Neo V, I will buy it. If its more that the price of Xperia Neo V, then I am going to buy Xperia Neo V. Lets see what phone I am going to use...... =p

I am very excited about this handphone. Waiting for my dad to go and survey tomorrow. Cant wait to get a new handphane. Partly I am excited because I am paying half for it!! Hehehehehehe.... =)

Nail Art Shopping

Okay, I am dedicating this post for Jessica and Shirley…

I was requested to write this blog post by Jessica. For her benefit la, what else! Hahahahahaha!!! Just kidding Jess…<3

So actually its about what I did last Sunday. I went out with my mum to buy some items in a supermarket nearby my house.

After shopping, I was just doing some window shopping at the stalls outside the supermarket. I came across a stall that sells accessories.

So I with my new found hobby looked for some nail art items. I saw O.P.I. nail colors, its RM15 per bottle. Then there was the smaller version of the same O.P.I. nail colors, its RM2.90 per bottle (3.75ml) and if you take 4 then its only RM10. I couldn’t resist this offer, so bought 4 colors for RM10.

Then there was another shop with offer, buy 1 free 1. So I bought some nail décor items like rhinestones, glitter and the glue. It is RM9 but since its buy 1 free 1, I got 2 packs for RM9.

So here are the photos:

This the comparison of size between the O.P.I nail color that I bought with the Elianto nail color.

These are 4 colors that I bought for RM10.

The nail decor items I bought for 2 @ RM9.

So Jessica and Shirley, do you all want anything? Let me know ASAP. Scared the promo will end. =)

Water Marble Nail Art

I was just watching some videos in Youtube about nail art and I came across a video on how to do water marble nail art. It seemed quite easy for me. Nothing very expert, Just nice for beginners like me.

So I tried doing it with my nails. Just some trial and error method. And yeah it turned out AWESOME.

This was the end result. Too bad I just cut my nail few days ago. If you have long nails, it will look real awesome!!!

So now I am going to show you how to do it. Well if you really want a clear tutorial, you should go Youtube and watch the videos there. I am just showing my way of doing it. Hehehehehe

First, what you need:

Basically, whatever items you can see in the photo above, are the items you going to need.

  1. The nail color you want to use. Here I used Elianto's colors, they are; Lawn Green, Dodger Blue and Indian Red.
  2. Tissue and pencil.
  3. Cello-tape and scissors.
  4. Cotton, cotton buds and nail polish remover.
  5. A cup of clean water.
So these are the items you need to do water marble nail art.

Now the steps:

Apply one layer of base coat on your nail and let it to dry. I used Lawn Green for my nail.

Then cover the skin around you nail with cello-tape.

Take a cup of clean water.

Add a drop of each of the nail color you have chosen, like shown in the above photos.

Then use the pencil to draw some lines across the spread out nail colors.

Then dip the finger that you painted the base coat into the water.

After dipping your finger into the water, use the pencil to remove the access nail colors before removing your finger from the water.

Then remove your finger from the water and let the nail color to dry. After drying, remove the cello-tape and clean the nail colors that stick to the skin surrounding the nail with the remover.

And ta-da, This is the end result.

Well, I know it isnt a good tutorial. But I am just sharing my new-found skill. Hahahaha.... =D
Oh and please make sure your fan is switched off, this is to avoid drying up the nail color. ;)

P/S: I tried this method on my friend, Bhaeravii's nails.

This is the end result. Totally love it!!! <3

If life had a rewind button…

If life had a rewind button,
I would have restrained myself from falling for u
I would have stopped myself from spending time with u
I would not have confided my feelings towards u
I would not have initiated conversation with u
I would not have been a stupid girl!!!

Maybe life not having a rewind button is for good too. I don’t know…

Sometimes it feels like I am over it but other times the memories are still fresh and it disturbs me.

People say time heals, time has gone but the healing is not complete…

Raya Break

My Raya break can be summarized in two words; Shopping Week!

Yeah, shopping is what I basically did this whole week. So my Deepavali shopping has officially ended today, no more purchases for me! Hahahahahaha….

Actually in the whole week there were other significant events which I will list down now:

Thursday: Arrived home, had home cooked meal and then it was time to rest.

Friday: Temple day. Went to Kaliamman Temple to see my Amman, then evening went to Sivan Temple for Prodosham.

Saturday: Again temple time. Went to Arakasama Temple near Padang Brown to do prayers for Datuk. Then went to Market Street to buy some prayer things and bought a Punjabi suit for myself. Hehehehe

Sunday: Temple day again. No no no I am not really a pious devotee, just following my mum. Hehehehe….This time it was Ayya Temple in Air Putih, Balik Pulau and Bagan Ajam. Yeah two temples in a day. It was an hectic day.

Monday: This was the day I was awaiting. Yes my shopping day. My mum and I did a massive shopping; by the way it was not only for me but also for others in my family.

Tuesday: Raya house! Went to Siti Akka’s house for Raya celebration. They served awesome food. Hehehehehe…. Then it was Global Indian Fair in Times Square. I bought some bangles and 2 leggings. That’s all.

Wednesday: A day at home, yet there was so many things to do because my nieces and some relatives came. So I helped my mum to cook. The menu was; white rice, mutton curry, mix vegetables and fried chicken. For evening we prepared, fried bee hoon, sardine and potato curry puff and jelly.

Thursday: Vinayagar Sathurthi. Helped mum to prepare mothegam, sundal, vadai and kolkathe.

Friday: Last day of my Raya break at home. Went out with mum to Market Street. Had vegetarian lunch in Vegetarian Anandha Bhawan Restaurant. Then we went to the Global Indian Fair again to buy bangles. Hehehehehe…. This year I am a bit, take note *a bit* obsessed with bangles. Hehehehe…

Saturday: 9.45am bus to Shah Alam. L

So Raya week ends here. It was an awesome week. I can say it was an educating week for me. I realized how important some people in my life are and how useless some people are in my life.

Overall it was a week I enjoyed myself a lot with my parents and my pet, Vishal.

Bottomless Chili's

Actually this event I am going to blog about happened ten days ago. I know its late but what can u expect from a busy person like me. Heheheheheheheheh…….

Basically this outing was planned for Nandni’s surprise birthday celebration. We decided to go to Chili’s in Empire Gallery. We took cab there.

The best part was, Nandni didn’t have any clue that it was for her, even when they brought the cake out by singing Happy Birthday song. She was a blur case. Hahahahaha….

See we are expert in planning surprise. Anyway we found out an awesome thing in Chili’s. Bottomless!!!

Bottomless? Actually it means we can get unlimited refills. So the next time we go there, we planned to order Bottomless Nachos and four Bottomless Drinks and spend one whole day there. Hahahahaha… Yeah I know; we are economic girls! ;)

We had Bottomless Nachos as our appetizers. Then we ordered two main dishes and shared them. It’s been ten days so I can’t really remember the dish names. Then we bought two drinks and shared them. After eating session, it was surprise time. Nandni was super blur when the waiters there sang Happy Birthday song.

Anyways I really hope Nandni enjoyed herself. I really had a good time. Hehehehe….

Photos: I took some but my handphone battery went empty so I didn’t get to snap lots of photos like I normally do. But Jessica and Shirley took some with their phones.

Here are some of the photos:
